LayerMapper MApp
Projection mapping & real-time animation
A desktop-class mapping engine on the device you already carry. Build a show on the train, align it on site in minutes and perform it live – from one projector on a wall to a multi-surface installation.

A media server that fits in a backpack
No laptop on stage
Connect a projector with an HDMI adapter or AirPlay. Soon you will also send the image over Wi-Fi to the LayerMapper receiver on an Android TV box.
Real performance tools
Cue points, presets, MIDI Learn, Ableton Link and DMX – the controls you expect from desktop software.
Content from anywhere
Photos, videos, two cameras at once, HDMI capture, NDI, YouTube, web pages and GLSL shaders.
What you can do with MApp
Map any surface
Multiple output meshes with multi-point keystone, homography, circular meshes and Bézier curves. Masks, full Z-order and instant visibility toggles.
Projection lasers
Create laser-style beam shows with a projector and atmospheric haze. Record slice motion with live textures and save it as reusable presets.
Animate and loop
Record corner movement in real time at 30 FPS, overdub new passes and loop them seamlessly – in sync with BPM and Ableton Link.
Perform with hardware
MIDI Learn maps any control to faders, pads and knobs. DMX / Art-Net (beta) brings MApp into a lighting rig.
Stream the clean output
Broadcast to YouTube, Facebook or any RTMP server, output clean HDMI, or send the image over the local network with Direct-LAN (Android TV receiver coming soon).
Shaders with AI
100+ built-in GLSL shaders, your own shaders, an AI shader generator and audio-reactive parameters driven by music or the microphone.
Built for live performance
Live streaming
Broadcast your output straight to YouTube, Facebook or a custom RTMP endpoint.
Clip timeline
A new timeline in the Clips view for precise, frame-accurate clip editing.
Cue points
Set cue points on clips and trigger them instantly during a show.
Cue panel in Preview
A dedicated, movable cue panel right in the Preview view for hands-on triggering.
Direct-LAN to TV box
Send the output over the local network to the LayerMapper receiver on a TV box (receiver app coming soon to Google Play).
Bug fixes & stability
Many fixes and stability improvements for long shows and installations.

Frequently asked questions
Which devices does LayerMapper MApp run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 17.6 or later, and Android phones and tablets with Android 9 or later and OpenGL ES 3.0.
How do I connect a projector?
Use an HDMI adapter (Lightning or USB-C) or AirPlay to an Apple TV – MApp sends a clean output without the interface. A wireless option is on the way: the LayerMapper receiver app for Android TV boxes, which takes the Direct-LAN signal from MApp, is coming soon to Google Play.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. New subscribers get 30 days free with every feature unlocked. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
Can I buy it once instead of subscribing?
Yes – the Lifetime option is a one-time purchase that unlocks MApp permanently, with no subscription.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no LayerMapper account. Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play and your projects stay on your device.
Can I use my own shaders?
Yes. MApp ships with 100+ GLSL shaders, imports your own, and can receive shaders live from the LayerMapper AI Shaders app over the local network.
Do I get LayerMapper Desktop with the Lifetime licence?
Yes – buy the Lifetime licence of MApp on iOS or Android and you get the LayerMapper Desktop PRO beta for free. Forward the official purchase receipt email from Apple or Google to layermapper [at] gmail [dot] com and we'll send you access when the beta is available. Details are in section 3.5 of the Terms of Use.
